Marissia Meyer's Lunar Chronicles is an amazing series that consists of four books: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter (2015). This series is a futuristic retelling of some of your favorite fairy-tales, but don't take the word 'fairy-tale' too seriously these girls are unique in every way and are FAR from perfect.

The Fault in Our Stars

John Green's The Fault in Our Stars follows the not so perfect life of Hazel Grace Lancaster as she finds that life doesn't have to be perfect for love to be extraordinary. If you were diagnosed with terminal cancer, what would you do? Certainly not fall in love. That’s what Hazel Grace Lancaster thought: before she met a charismatic, gorgeous, and hilarious guy named Augustus Waters (who had happened to have a touch of cancer himself) at a cancer support group. Veronica Roth's Divergent is a romantic, action packed, exciting story about a girl named Beatrice who changed her name to Tris after switching to the Dauntless Faction. When 16-year old Tris takes her aptitude test it tells her she doesn't fit into one faction. She cannot be controlled. They call it Divergent. While she tried to hide in Dauntless pushing her mind and body to the breaking point she soons finds her city might be doing the same.

Legend Series

Marie Lu's Legend, Prodigy, and Champion follow the lives of two people ,Day and June as they live in the Republic and are consistantly at war with the Colonies. Day is Legend. He is 15, failed his trial, and has commited countless numbers of crimes, but the government just can't get their hands on him. June is a Prodigy. She is 15, the only one to get a perfect score her in her trial, she is an agent and the government has her wrapped around their finger. When the lives of these two teenagers cross they figure out what is really going on in the war against the Colonies.

The Giver and Son by Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry's the Giver is an amazing book! Skip the two middle books and jump to the last. I loved Son. It's the Giver from the perspective of 14-year old birthmother Claire. Claire gave birth to her 'product' when she was only 14. After that she is done and is sent off to the fish hatchery. The catch? She loves her 'product'. Never having met him, and only knowing him by the ominous number 36, Claire knows she loves him. When she is so close to getting him her world is flipped around, and knowing nothing but her name Claire still has that love. Follow a loving mother go through the treacherous journey to find her son.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Glade is located in the middle of a Maze.  A bunch of boys have been locked up in the Glade for the past two years. They get a new boy every month and supplies every week. The only way for order is for each boy to find the job that they are most good at and work there. There are gardeners, builders, etc., and best of all runners.  The Maze is filled with Grievers, a vicious animal/machinery that lives in the maze and that comes out at night and eats the Gladers, the only way the Gladers are safe is because the doors to the maze close at night. When Thomas gets there he feels an odd recognition of the place, but due to the memory swipe every Glader went through, he has no clear memory of anything. The day after Thomas shows up everything changes. A second person shows up in the same month. They look dead. And they are a girl.
