"Prodigy" Written By a True Prodigy

S- Have you Heard of Legend? I'm sure you have. It's one of the most popular YA books out there right now. I read the second book in the trilogy: "Prodigy". Day and June (the criminal and the prodigy), have just broken away from the Republic's iron grip, and are on the run. They later get caught up in an assasination attempt, and they must figure out what is right and what is plain wrong. June has been as loyal as can be to the Republic since the day she was born. It is her country after all. For her whole life June has been planning on spending her life as a Republic Commander, leading the way for victory over the Colonies. Well, that's pretty much over now. For Day on the other hand, it's same old same old. They don't know where they're going, they just know that they can't go home. Day and June's relationship builds over the course of the story, now that they know each other, and I loved it. June is still analyzing and scientific, and Day is still quick-thinking and curious. Though in "Prodigy', June and Day both change. They learn things that make them rethink the very fabric of their life. There is also the beginning of a love triangle, between Tess (Day's best friend) and June. Thrilling and romantic, mixed into one. Beautifully crafted, part 2 of Marie Lu's trilgoy is sure to bring a fair amount of cheers and tears. Rating: 5/5
